WARNING: They is human. :3 Also, remember werewolves? Yeah, think of those, but with whatever animal they are in the movies.
The sun was high in the sky, beating down on the group at the small lake. The rushing down of the waterfall was a nice background noise, has was the laughter of an herd.
Shira leaned back on her hands, grinning at Crash and Eddie as they tracked Sid in the water. Peaches and Louis were joining in the fun; though, they didn't try and drown Sid.
Next to Shira, Ellie laughed. The grey haired woman glanced at the tanned, green eyed, red haired woman. The older woman bumped shoulders with Shira.
"I almost want to show them what I'm made off."
"And then where would we be? Telling Manny; 'It was an accident that your mate drowned! All five of them didn't mean to jump on her at once!'" Shira snorted. Ellie laughed, running a hand though her hair.
"I love how you didn't include yourse-"
Shira cut Ellie off, getting right on her feet and looking towards the half-covered snow forest behind them. Her sabre was growling and taking a deep breath, Shira smelled unfamiliar sabers.
Four of them.
"What is it, Shira?"
Blue eyes locked with green.
"I smell four unfamiliar sabers." Shira glanced back at the five in the water. Sid and Peaches opened their mouths, but Shira cut them off. "Stay here. At least, until we know it's safe." She didn't even wait for their nod, just dashed into the forest, Ellie right on her heels. "Why aren't you staying with them, Ellie?" The taller woman snorted.
"And leave you alone while you go and confront them? I think not; Diego would never forgive me." Shira bit her lip to keep from smiling. The two stopped short of the clearing, Shira placing an hand on Ellie's arm.
Along with those four, she could see Diego and Manny. Sharing a look with Ellie, the two opened their ears. After all, Diego and the leader-looking guy were almost nose to nose.
"-died!"
The man laughed, crossing his arms.
"You really thought that killed me, Diego?" Behind him, three others snorted, one letting out a high-pitched laugh. He was quickly slapped up-side the head by the most serious looking of the three. Diego growled, only for Manny to lay a hand on his shoulder. Diego looked the leader in the eye.
"This is our territory; you have no right to be here, Soto!" 'Soto?' Shira and Ellie mouthed to each other, the shorter crossing her arms under her chest.
"Revenge seems right, doesn't it? After all, a leader never forgets his top solder's betrayal – or of the friends that helped him." Soto glared at Manny, who just glared back. Shira had heard enough; and from Ellie stepping forward, so had she. Ellie stepped into the cleaning, her arms crossed. All men looked shocked; Shira rolled her eyes. She would have thought Diego would know they were here.
"Ellie?!" Manny explained, stepping towards his mate.
"I don't think I've heard this story before. Have you, Shira?"
Shira walked past Ellie.
"No, I don't think I have, my dear Ellie." Stepping between Soto and Diego, who was taking deep breaths, she gripped both of their shoulders and pushed them away from each other. "But I think now is perfect for story time." Turning her back to Soto and his pack, she kept her tight grip on Diego's shoulder, keeping her eyes locked on his hazel ones. "Diego." Behind her, Shira heard Soto take in a deep breath.
"Quite a female you have here, Diego." Shira felt a shiver down her spine and turned to glare at Soto, whose poison green eyes looked her frame up and down.
With a fierce growl, Diego had put Shira behind him.
"One whose off limits – even to your eyes, Soto."

Got Your Back:

Manny was restless, pacing frantically mumbling to himself, Ellie watched him until she finally broke the awkward silence.
Ellie: Manny, honey will you relax she's probably on her way back by now.
Manny: What if something happened to her on her way back!
She could tell he hadn't really heard her; she rolled her eyes and sighed. When he paced past her this time she grabbed the tusk closest to her and stopped him making sure he was listening completely.
Ellie: Look you were the one who decided it would be best to give Peaches some mor

Diego and Shira-Ice Age
It was unusually warm out during the Ice Age. A Wooly Mammoth, a sloth and a saber tooth tiger were running to beat the coming flood.
"Why's a flood even coming?" asked Sid. "Why do you think?! Everything's breaking! Dams and all!" said Diego.
Manny ran as fast as his heavy weight would carry him, what if the flood reached Ellie and Peaches?
"Look! It's our boat!" said Sid. They saw the large chunk of ice floating in the water. "That will take us back home", said Manny.
Manny and Sid climbed on. Diego hesitated. "Diego, let's go! Shira's not coming!" yelled Manny. Diego growled and leaped on the ice.
Sid got a small stick and tried peddl
